FRENCH BLUE
My name is Joy Fairclough. I'm American--a native of the Great Lakes State--but now I divide my time between Paris and the South of France.
The inspiration for my calligraphy studio's name comes from my love of the particular blues of my adoptive France- the faded blue of wooden shutters, the deep azure of the Mediterranean sky in the South , the slate blue of Paris winters.

L'idée du nom pour mon atelier de calligraphie vient de mon amour pour les bleus si particuliers de France : les bleus délavés des vieux volets en bois, l'azur profond du ciel au sud, le bleu ardoise de Paris en hiver.
